This 2009 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 39mm features a 'mega Tapisserie' dial with baton markers and a stainless steel bracelet. It also features a stainless steel bezel.
The design of the Royal Oak Offshore dates back to 1989 when Audemars Piguet designer, Emmanuel Gueit, presented a conceptual sketch of a more robust Royal Oak. This larger and sportier design was met with criticism by Gerald Genta but younger collectors liked the larger case size.
